The fact that a developed city like New York is under attack by these bugs, proves these facts. The bed bug infestation in developed countries has increased more than 5,000 times in the last few years. This shocking increase in their numbers is because of the fact that these bugs can transport from one place to another very easily.

You have bed bugs because:

• Your friends have them: The people you meet outside of your house may have bed bugs stuck to their clothes or bags. The bug can transmit to you when you touch them or share a close space with them.

• Your guest brought them: If you have guests over in your house and if they have bed bugs infestation, then there is a huge risk of you getting it too. It is also possible that you guests stayed in a b&b cavan that had this infestation and brought it to your home.

• Your pet has them: Bed bugs feed on blood on both, humans and animals. They can even survive on your pet’s body. If your pets interact with other animals in the street or park, there is a big chance that he has brought bed bugs to your home.

• You have old furniture: Old mattresses, chairs, couches etc are breeding ground for bed bugs.

It could be any of these reasons or any other, behind the bed bug infestation in your home or professional space. But instead of worrying about why you had them, you should put more emphasis on “how to get rid of them.” Call an exterminator as soon as you detect a serious infestation. Don’t delay or neglect it as it will only aggravate the situation.
